Companies are postponing campus campaigns and switching to newer tech solutions, including virtual interviews and online assessments to recruit candidates from various universities.

The Covid-19 Job Search Study was conducted to gauge the impact of the ongoing pandemic on new locations in India. The survey was conducted on university students from all cohorts (2020-2023) in different courses. The results are based on more than 1,300 responses, 80 percent of which are responses from students pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering and Technology degree.

Commenting on the survey, Sharad Sindhwani, Head of Business at, said: “The pandemic has affected employment prospects in 2020 in 82 percent of universities. This has also affected training offers for 74 percent of pre-year students. “Students do not lose their morale and become virtual to their learning as well as for job interviews. In fact, most companies also use modern technology solutions for remote recruitment.”
